LAST 12 HOURS – Organizational Logo Sponsorships just $200

“Logo Sponsorships” Now Just $200 I have just reduced the “sponsorship” reward from $400 to $200, as there is now much less of a gap to close. I also limited the sponsorships to four, which increases the visibility of each one.  For that money, we’ll include your name and logo prominently on this project: There is just 12 HOURS in which to sign up for this, though! So act fast, if you’re going to do it.

Tell a friend or two, and we just might make it!

Wow! We are past the halfway mark today. I’m really pretty excited by that. Each of you probably has a circle of friends who may not have heard about this project, so if you each were to get a friend or two to back it as well, we might just make it before the deadline tomorrow night. I’ve also just added a new $8 level for which I can send out folded copies of the Concept Art Poster. That’s both because we’ve already offset the cost of the first few prints, and because they are much cheaper to ship folded.

NEW – Concept Art Poster for just $8 USA or WORLD (Folded)

If the $15/$25 poster reward seems too high, you might be interested in this: we can send you the same poster for just $8 if we fold it for shipping. After the first few are printed, additional copies of the Concept Art Poster don’t cost much to print, and so the main expense is the cost of shipping a mailing tube. This is especially true for international addresses. However, if I just fold the 11″ x 17″ sheet in half to 8.5″ x 11″ , it will ship in a standard-size document envelope, and this is really inexpensive for both USA and International addresses.

Thanks to all of you who’ve pledged!

Twenty people have contributed to our project, and as we are approaching the end of this campaign, I want to take a moment to say ” Thank you! ” to you all for pitching in! I was pretty nervous about putting this Kickstart up — although I’ve had some success with projects and art, money has never been a real comfort area for me. And when we started working on Lunatics, we were pretty much working in a complete vacuum. It’s very hard to have any idea if anyone cares what you’re doing. We knew we really enjoyed what we were coming up with, but we didn’t know if it would be clear to other people.

Original Concept Artwork – Now 50% Off!

I’ve reduced the prices on the original concept artwork sheets drawn by Daniel Fu by 50%. I’ve also made each one a separate reward, so you can pick which one you get. And I will include with each one a copy of the full-color concept-art poster, which includes portraits of all eight of the main characters, digitally inked and painted by me (I’ve been posting examples of these portraits as updates as I finish them).

Dataset will be Available at All Reward Levels

This is an open-source project, so anyone who wants to access the data we produce will be able to get it in time (certainly before next Summer). Anyone backing this Kickstart (at any level) will receive notification and a site to download this data as a package (probably a single large ZIP file, or possibly several smaller ones) available for download on April 12, 2012 (“Yuri’s Night”). We’ll publish this link publicly sometime after that. Of course, all of the backers will be credited in the dataset as well.

Pre-Production Kickstarter Launched!

As you can see from the widget on our front page, we have just launched our Kickstarter campaign to fund pre-production artwork development for the series. This includes the character design and model sheets, the set plans, and plans of the vehicles that appear in the pilot episode, “No Children in Space”. It will also support Rosalyn Hunter in making final revisions to the script.
